Can asthma symptoms be caused by anxiety and depression or do I have mild asthma?

I was recently diagnosed with anxiety. Doctors always want the shortcut, meds. I’m not taking meds. No med answers allowed. I’m treating anxiety cognitively. That aside, I feel some throat itching and coughing when I feel bored at night and trying to go to sleep. I think I might have asthma. I don’t feel symptoms of this otherwise. My throat has basically turned into my stress meter. If I cough, I actively turn the stressful thoughts off. Do I have asthma? I t seems really mild. Can it get worse? If I treat it will it abate? Will it go away if I just cure my depression?
please no meds.
these are very mild asthma symptoms. i don’t plan on seeing a doctor about this and i don’t have or need an inhaler because the symptoms are so mild. my question is: is what am i experiencing a very mild case of asthma?
