Can you join the army if you have anxiety disorder?

My boyfried just decided that he wants to join the army. He said he has already talked to the ROTC guy and got set up to join when he gets out of school. He is soon to be 21 and has sever panick disorder, he is medicated for it. Can he really join the army?
