I am an 18 year old female. When I was ten, a cardiologist told me I had a heart murmur. Now, for the 7 months or so, I have experienced palpitations, or my heart fluttering. It happens when I exercise, and also when I am just resting. I went to the cardiologist, and had a stress echo, 24 hour monitor and ekg. They didn’t find anything. The cardiologist seemed to laugh at me, telling me it was “extra beats.”

Tonight, my heart has fluttered numerous times, which is sometimes normal for me. I found out at a physical last week that I have a high heart rate, of 90, and a low blood pressure..90/70. I feel faint, either because of my low blood pressure, or because I’m just getting nervous. This occurs often. My GP suggested that I return to the cardiologist for another 24 hour heart monitor and another check up, so I will be going within the next month or two.
Should I be worried? Should I go see another cardiologist? I am very afraid that something is going to happen to me.
