apply either heat or an analgesic cream to the affected area for temporary relief. if the pain continues or worsens, see a doctor. good luck
Sounds to me like you pulled a muscle. The best remedy? Rest. Drink Ibuprofen or some over the counter pain medicine. If theres swelling in the area apply ice, if no swelling and pain apply heat, if you have no heating pad, check this out, simple heating pad, I do it all the time in the hospital, take a ziploc bag, get a rag wet it, put it in the ziploc bag and place in microwave fore 30 seconds or until warm. Leave the rag in the bag and cover it with a paper towel or a cloth so as not to burn yourself to much. If pain worsens, or becomes debilitating, see your Doc right away. There isnt much else you can do though. Oh and proper body mechanics when lifting, never lift from the waist, and never twist your back when lifting or pulling, you will just cause injury. Good luck, hope all goes well.
You’ll probably be fine. I pulled a muscle in my back once when i was riding and it hurt so much I considered if getting up to go to the bathroom was really worth it! just be patient and see if it lets up. If it doesn’t, go to a PHYSIOTHERAPIST. Do NOT go to a chiropractor! Physiotherapists are much better. They are safer, more natural, and they give you special excersizes to do. If you ever pull it again, all you have to do is your little excersizes, instead of going off to the chiropractor again and again.
Hope this helped!
