I was on narcotic pain medication for four months due to breaking my arm and then having surgery, I had my period exactly as I always did.  Could you be pregnant?  I looked up my prescription info. sheet, and there is nothing listed about it interfering with the menstrual cycle.  Another possibility is that it could just be stress from being in pain.
