Adam asked:
This morning at about 5 AM I started to experience some intense chest pain. The pain spread to my left arm, neck, and sometimes to my back. At the time I thought I was either having a panic attack or a heart attack, but there were no other symptoms from a panic attack besides the chest pain and anxiety. The pain started to subside a bit after I took a hot shower and I was eventually able to fall asleep. It’s been over 12 hours and my chest/heart area still hurts, and when I lay down a certain way I can hear a strange sound when my heart beats. Any idea what this could be? Should I go to the hospital?

BC asked: I’m an 18 year old and I went on a 10 day drinking binge. meaning I got drunk every night and/or day. I had no real problems. then, this morning, after drinking about 6 jack and cokes and some rum and red bull as well as a little bit of tequila last night, I woke up to some minor, but very annoying chest pain, tightness, as well as jitters, and strange fatigue. I nearly passed out in my class today and nearly fainted walking up some stairs. napped for about 6 hours and woke up feeling better, but the problems persist a bit. I’m not sure whether this is from alcohol withdrawal, or if the problem lies within my body’s attempts to get rid of the alcohol i drank last night, and simply being overworked. for a while i thought i might be having a heart attack. any help would be appreciated. i’ve also been suffering anxiety and panic attacks when not drinking, so i’m not sure if this was just a bad anxiety attack. what are these symptoms indicating?

melon_raindrops asked: Alright, so basically I have anxiety.
And I had my first panic attack a month and a half ago.
Like this dizzy feeling, lightheadedness, palpitation.
I am 12, weighing currently 65 kilos(around 130 pounds) and 5 feet tall.
Can you cure anxiety without medication? If so, what are the natural remedies? There are famous sites that cure anxiety, and alot of people reviewed on it and said it works, though I don’t want to pay for it. Does anyone know those natural remedies, besides going to the doctor, therapy, etc.
btw, I went to the doctor the first day, when I had my first panic attack, the first man said he wasn’t sure if I had anything wrong with me, my blood pressure was perfect for my age. We went to another doctor just to get another opinion, she said I’m absolutely fine, I’m just a little too stressed for my age.
So, that hopefully, must lead to anxiety.
Since I have the symptoms.
numbness/tingling/slight coldness at times in toes/fingers.
dizziness sometimes, and shortness of breath, chest pain.
I need your help please
(:
Also, the day I had my panic attack I weighed 68 kilos, now 65.
and I’ve heard about easycalm.com, the linden method, and a few more.
Has someone joined one of them, if so what did you do, and could to give me the advice that they gave you?
please, I am in need!!

david asked:
I wish I could get off this med because it really screws with nervous system, making me more anxious, worried, scared, And generally threatened by life’s situations. I need to feel balanced & secure to be functional and strong. I have wife & 3 children to help & raise. So I wish I could get off of this stupid medication, but the side- effects are dreadful. Is there anyone who knows about a natural supplement that cures anxiety & panic disorder and also improves sexual performance. I need a safe alternative because I am worried of getting off paxil & suffering because of it. If yur a doctor MD or a specialist in alternative medicine that’s a plus!

I have horrable anxiety, which prevents me from involving myself in certain social situations. I’m being perscribed a high dose of xanex at the moment, but i’m wondering if medical marijuana would be a better cure. My aunt gets medical, and I know it was very hard for her to get. She had to go through courts, sign a ton of papers, etc… I’m 18 years old, so age isn’t an issue. I know in california they’ll perscribe weed for just about anything. I also take 100mg of zoloft every day for clinical depression, so really have have two mental illnesses that would make me eligable.

taylo s asked: Whenever I feel stress, anxiety, fear nervous or I am very worried I feel as though I have to cough. The feeling comes from my chest, nothing from my throat or lungs.
Its almost as if after though cough the uneasiness in my chest area goes away slightly (a few seconds after the cough).
I don’t smoke or do drugs or take medication, I also exercise regularly and eat fairly healthy. I don’t do or have anything that normally induces cough like smoking. or work in a coal mine for that matter
What is this caused by? and is it common? cure? why?

CurtisEBear asked: The panic attacks I’ve experienced very infrequently over the last several years have suddenly become horrifying and almost constant since I quit drinking.
I am twenty-seven, uninsured, and have very little money. My options seem to be: 1. Keep drinking (and even this is becoming less effective); or 2. Buy some kind of benzodiazapines off the street.
Any suggestions? Is there some kind of free detox program?

bobble242 asked: Catch 22 – I have panic disorder to the point of not being able to go a mile from the house. I’ve grown a resistance to my meds and they do not sedate me. I have an appointment this wednesday to have a new med program prescibed, but I can’t make it to the doctor to get it. What do I do? Getting there will just have me be seen, but there is nothing that can take care of immediate attacks that occur en route or at the doctor. Just a slip of paper, “try this” and good luck making it back home, freak. My anxiety is high, my temper is bad and I’d almost prefer being shot than making this appointment.
I do prefer answers from people that understand or have experienced panic disorder as most that have no idea just say “be a man and take it.” Not helpful in this situation.
