Can you join the army if you have anxiety disorder?

My boyfried just decided that he wants to join the army. He said he has already talked to the ROTC guy and got set up to join when he gets out of school. He is soon to be 21 and has sever panick disorder, he is medicated for it. Can he really join the army?

    They will extensively test him and put him under a ton of stress. If he learns to handle it, he will be fine. If not they will dump him.

    He should have disclosed all of that to the ROTC guy too. The answer is no. The military is a very stressful job and having a guy freak out and panic for whatever reason will not work. Especially since he is on meds for it, he will not be accepted into the military. If he lies and does not disclose it he will be kicked out moment one for fraudulent enlistment or if he goes in as an officer the same thing for officers. If he gets any money to go in after school they will take that back too. He needs to find another job to do after college coping and being able to deal with things most normal people couldn’t deal with is a huge part of the military lifestyle.

    I know certain disorders will keep you from being eligible, I am not sure if this is one of them, I know some people that have lied about certain medical issues to get in
