Can steroid injections for back pain cause ***** depletion?

My husband has been getting steroid injections in his back periodically for quite a while now. We have recently decided we would like to get pregnant again but have not been successful. I heard that the steroid shots might cause ***** depletion but cannot find any specific info on it online. Does anyone know if this is true or not? Does anyone have a source?

Steroids is a group term.
There are different types of steroids
1)anabolic-these are used by body builders and can cause liver and reduce sperm/testicular atrophy
2)ANTI-Inflammatory-these are used to reduce inflammation in an injury-They do NOT affect the sperm-I expect it is these your husband is having.
The easiest thing is for him to see his doctor and have a ***** test-you then will know whether it is due to a reduced count or not
