Ann M asked:
A dentist talked me into replacing old silver fillings with white ones..he said the old ones were pulling away and decay may have started. They did not hurt but I thought better be safe than sorry. He filled them and they hurt for a week or so and I thought that they were just tender..three weeks later I could not eat, drink cold or hot bevarages or food on those teeth…I returned to a previous dentist and he took exrays and showed me stripes of grey between the white teeth and the white composite…he had to do a root canal on one of the filled teeth and when he opened it up found that the previous dentist’s work the substance that formed a grey stripe was uncured??? AS in the dentist had not waited long enough for it to cure or his light bulb was weak (a device that cures the filler)….so all five teeth that he worked on ALL have stripes and the dentist said that all the teeth would have to be redone? There most probably is decay starting in again…Can I sue for moneys and pain?

sw asked:
I am 18 and I have suffered from depression and anxiety since childhood. I thought the anxiety was bad before but since i developed panoc disorder i pray for the old anxiety. My first panic attack came from nowhere in school, this quickly led to attacks every time i was in school and forced me to drop out senior year. I thought that eliminating that trigger would help or even cure the attacks, i was wrong. the terror of attacks led me to alienate myself from my friends, fear the idea of a job and eventually confine me to my home because the panic spread to any outside contact. I am growing more and more depressed because this is ruining my future and present. Even more frustrating is the fact that my family cant understand that something like this can cripple me with so much terror that i cant do normalthingsI have tried ssri’s, antidepressants like remeron and trycyclinsbut my doctoris hesitant togive benzos cuz i have a drug history.isthereany lessabuseabledrugsto help, iam in therapy

Love asked: Also, what are the links between serotonin levels and GI track activity? Would a person with clinical depression and anxiety issues have an imbalance of serotonin in his or her intestines that could cause IBS?
Would weight loss, rest and change of diet be likely to improve the irritable bowel symptoms of somebody who is experiencing IBS because of one of the two aforementioned reasons?
Should they drink diet soda or not?

Ari asked: The doctors don’t know what to do. They haven’t been much help in the first place! It’s not his diet, or his lifestyle. My husband just passes stones practically on a regular basis! He’s so miserable, he’s got nerve problems and anxiety issues because of this. He’s been passing them for the last 13 years. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Or at least a way to control the kidney stones. Yes, I know that they are painful, hence the anxiety and nerve issues.
